The information below concerns GrunnMUN 2017. For more information about this year’s conference, please keep our newsletter and Facebook page in mind! The information you will find on this page only serves as an early indication for next year’s conference, but arrangements could differ from GrunnMUN 2017.
GrunnMUN is a one-day conference, containing a mandatory and optional programme.
The mandatory programme starts at approximately 8.30 AM and ends at around 6.30 PM.
The optional programme starts from 7 PM onwards.
The compulsory part of the programme contains an opening ceremony in het Heerenhuis. in which the Chairman and the Under-Secretary General welcome the participants and the guest speakers introduce the theme. The opening ceremony is followed by preparatory talks, in which the invited speakers engage in an interactive session with the participants, answering any questions the participants have with regard to the work environment of the speakers, the theme and the topics. After that, the Rules of Procedures will be explained to prepare the participants fully for the council sessions. Next, the first council session will start in which the representatives of the member states have a possibility to state their position in an openings speech. The first council session is followed by a lunch break which will take place in Land van Kokanje, in which experience learns, informal negotiations continue. After lunch the second council session sets in, in which member states will soon start drafting the first resolutions. Hopefully, at the end of the day, the resolutions are passed. The mandatory programme is finished by a closing ceremony in which the day and the outcomes are evaluated.
The optional programme includes a dinner at Land van Kokanje and informal drinks afterwards.
