The TEIMUN journalists 2012

Santusia Gonsalves is currently finishing of her BA of International Relations and International Organizations, with a minor in Media and Journalistic Culture, in Groningen. Academically she is fascinated by state politics, in particular the state politics of authoritarian and totalitarian ruled countries, pursuing a specialization in the matter. Furthermore, she is interested in global history and the effects of culture and ethnicity on politics.
Ever since taking a course on cross-cultural communication, Santusia has been looking for a way to satisfy this particular interest of hers. By volunteering at the Dutch Refugee Centre she has found just the way, cross-cultural communication being a big part of the job. Volunteering has become a real passion of hers. Apart from all of this Santusia enjoys travelling, having a special fondness for New-Zealand and Switzerland. When in Groningen, she spends her time reading fantasy, watching movies and spending time with friends.

Caroline Ehrlander is a 23 year old student from Sweden. She became internationally oriented at a very young age and jumped at the chance to study International Relations and International Organization BA at the University of Groningen. Having gained much experience as a foreign student she has als involved herself as a mentor for other foreign students, which has given her many international friends, many hugs and the nickname ‘mommy’.
In her spare time she is a passionate doglover that does not hesitate to put her boots on despite the harsh Dutch weather. Her interests span from reading and writing to sports, arts and spending time with friends. After attending GrunnMUN of 2011 as the representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Security Council she got a taste of the inspiring world of the MUNs. Applying to be a journalist was a given and she will surely do her best to cover all aspects of the fascinating events.
