Dwayne van Haasen – Chairman
I am happy to be the first to introduce myself. My name is Dwayne van Haasen and I am the Chairman of the 29th Board of Directors 2016. Coming from Limburg in the far south of the Netherlands, I moved three years ago to Groningen to study the Bachelor International Relations & International Organizations. Last year, I have also studied in Québec for a semester during which I have become affluent in French.
Having basically finished my Bachelor, TEIMUN will be my main priority this year. Having participated at the TEIMUN Conference 2015, it is with great excitement to finally say that I can start working with my team on this great project with my six fellow Board members.

Anna-Sophie Steinebach – Secretary & PR
My name is Anna-Sophie Steinebach and it is my great pleasure to introduce myself as the secretary and PR of the 29th
TEIMUN board of directors. After three years of studying and finishing my bachelor’s degree in Economics, I am currently pursuing my master degrees in Economics and Finance at the University of Groningen. I applied for the TEIMUN board of directors, since I wanted to develop myself even more besides my study and at the same time I wanted to learn more about international relations. Besides this, I have organized a conference before and I did this with great pleasure. Therefore, the TEIMUN board of directors was the perfect opportunity for me.
In my position as Secretary and PR it is my task to keep in contact with external relations and at the same time I am responsible the promotion of GrunnMUN and TEIMUN. I am really looking forward to this year, working together with all the TEIMUN board members to organize two successful and unforgettable conferences, namely GrunnMUN and TEIMUN!
Jasper Quak – Treasurer
I am happy to introduce myself after Dwayne and Anna-Sophie as a part of this year’s TEIMUN board of directors. My name is Jasper Quak and I will hold the position of Treasurer in the 29th
TEIMUN board. I finished my bachelor’s degree in economics in Groningen two years ago, after which I studied in Istanbul
and did an internship back in the Netherlands. After my period away from Groningen, I decided to come back to pursue master degrees in economics and finance, with which I started last year. Given that I was able to finish most courses, I found myself provided with the perfect opportunity to apply for a position in the TEIMUN board.As we stand now, three weeks in our board year, I find myself looking ever more forward to the coming experiences and successful organization of both the GrunnMUN and TEIMUN conferences. Moreover, I look forward to the cooperation with my fellow board members, of which I am sure, will be successful!
Tim Leenstra – Fundraiser
Hello, my name is Tim Leenstra, I’m 23 years old and I am the fundraiser of
TEIMUN. Although I was born in Groningen my hometown is Assen, which is located in the beautiful province of Drenthe. I went back to Groningen to study sociology at the RUG, were I now pursue a pre-master of International Relations. When I returned from my study period abroad in Budapest the opportunity arose to apply for the TEIMUN board, which fits perfectly within my pre-master program of IR. During my student life I became a member of a fraternity, besides that I like to play football, to ski and especially to sail in de Friese meren.
Being the fundraiser it is my primary task to raise money for the foundation and to maintain good relations with different funds who are sponsoring TEIMUN.
I am really looking forward to organize the GRUNNMUN and the TEIMUN conference in Groningen and in The Hague respectively. With close collaboration with my fellow board members I am convinced that both conferences will be unforgettable!
Tjitske Wildervanck – Programme coordinator
Hi! My name is Tjitske Wildervanck and I’m a 21 year old History student. I will be the Programme
Coordinator this year, so I will make sure you all have an amazing TEIMUN including interesting speakers and great socials. My passion for international relations started a year ago when I worked as a personal assistant for a British prospective Member of Parliament and learned all the inns and outs of British politics. Before that I’ve been active within a Dutch political youth organization.Beside all the serious business I have a great passion for sailing. I have competed in Dutch students championships and now I teach children between 12 and 16 during the summer.I look really forward seeing you all during GrunnMUN and TEIMUN!
Maximilian Reymann – Participants Coordinator Western
It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the new Participants Coordinator Western for the 29th
Board of Directors of the TEIMUN foundation. My name is Maximilian Reymann, and I am eagerly looking forward to serving the foundation. I am currently completing my bachelor’s degree (LLB) in International and European Law, a field I was introduced to by my own participation in various MUN conferences. This long interest and involvement in MUN makes me especially excited to start this grand endeavour with my dear friends and colleagues of the TEIMUN 2016 board.
Allan Munya – Participants Coordinator Non-Western
My name is Allan Munyao and I am a holder of an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Nairobi, School of Law (2013) as well as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. I am currently awaiting admission into the bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in December, 2015. Presently, I am also a Masters Candidate in Public International Law at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.I have been involved in various international forums and served in various capacities over the last three years in Kenya MUN (Kenya Model United Nations) and TEIMUN (The European International Model United Nations) and I am the 1st African to ever be appointed into the Board of Directors of TEIMUN Foundation in the Netherlands as well (2016). On my interests, I am a motorbike enthusiast and an avid traveller as well.
I look ever more forward to the board year experience and the successful organization of both the GrunnMUN and TEIMUN 2016 conferences.
