Board of Directors – Participants Coordinator Non-Western

Participants Coordinator Non-Western

As Participants Coordinator Non-Western you are the first contact person for all non-western applicants and participants and, as such, are often the first person people will come up to at the conference. Your year will commence with working together with your fellow board members to design an effective promotion plan and to coordinate how to ensure the attendance of new and old participants. This will be followed by beginning to build a participants base. This year, the Participants Coordinators and the Secretary worked together and shared the task of promotion, as this is an extensive task, you will need to carefully coordinate various tasks for each other.

You will also be responsible of establishing a local promoters base who will promote TEIMUN on your behalf all over the world. Most of your time pre-conference(s) will be dedicated to ensuring that the lines of communication between the foundations and participants stay open, that everyone is informed about any possible developments with the conference. You are responsible for attracting participants from all over the world so it is imperative to maintain a professional and informative relationship with each and every participant. You will answer questions regarding the conference, the application procedure, and any other questions the participants may have. A lot of time will also be devoted to aiding participants with visa applications. During the conference you are usually the first contact person for participants as you will have been in email contact quite frequently in the months prior to the conference. Due to this, you will meet a great amount of new people, never be bored and always have someone to talk to. Besides the amazing experience of organising and coordinating the conferences, a board year with TEIMUN is more than that. You will meet incredibly interesting people at various events, this ranging from new friendships and contacts to people working directly in the field of international politics as an example. Lastly, you will form a close bond with your fellow board members!

A board year as Participants Coordinator Non-Western at TEIMUN is a year filled with various challenges, the chance to experience the diversity from the participants, opportunities to expand your network and most importantly to have fun, all whilst maintaining a professional relationship!

If you have any questions you are more than welcome to contact me at, I am always there to answer any questions one might have about the foundation, conference or my position.

Kind regards,

Benedikt Margraf,
Participants Coordinator Non-Western of the TEIMUN Board of Directors 2018
